Vancouver Island University, Canada - Update Regarding Duolingo English Language Proficiency Test !!

Below are the details received from Vancouver Island University regarding Duolingo English language proficiency test and TOEFL iBT test.

We are glad to let you know about two new options that university has recently added to help students provide proof of their English language skill in the absence of regular IELTS, TOEFL this spring.

Option 1: The Duolingo English Test

For direct admission to Undergrad programs at VIU, students will need a score of 110 on the DET and for Masters they will need a score of 115.

Option 2: TOEFL iBT® Special Home Edition

For direct admission to Undergrad programs at VIU, students will need a score of 88 (no section below 20) and for Masters the scores requirements are 93 (no section below 20)
